The condition of having a longer history than others substantially explains some otherwise unexplainable behaviour.

Examples:

The reason the Germans tried to exterminate the Jews who have a history that predates the Arians. (History began with us mania)
The reason cults and new religions hate older religions and are so protestant against them.

Britain's +obsession with the obliteration of Irish culture, language and spiritual identity.
